State Theater “Spring on By for Breakfast” – March 11
Volunteers for the Barnesville State Theater project will offer a drive-by breakfast at the Barnesville Antique Mall parking lot on Tuesday, March 11 from 6:00-9:00. The menu offers burritos, Danishes, cinnamon rolls, cheddar bacon chive bread and coffee.
All proceeds benefit the theater restoration project.
Great Stone Viaduct Lecture Series – March 12
The lecture will take place at 6:00 at the Bellaire Public Library. Christina Fisanick, professor of English at PennWest California, will present “Pulling the Thread: Untangling Wheeling History”.
Those who are not able to attend in person, you can check may view the presentation online on the library’s Facebook page.

UL FFA/FFA Alumni Farm Toy Show – March 9
The Union Locall FFA an FFA Alumni will stage the 34th annual Farm Toy Show at Union Local High on Sunday, March 9 from 9:00-3:00. A pedal pull (75 lbs. max.) will take place at 1:00. Belmont Genealogy Chapter Meeting – March 9
The Belmont County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society meeting will take place Sunday, March 09, 2025, at 3:00 P.M., in the Genealogy Room, at Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library, 308 East Main Street.
For the first meeting of 2026, the program will feature “Sharing Childhood Memories”. “Come and join us and have fun finding your family roots”.
The meeting is free and open to the public; you do not have to be a member to attend.
Barnesville Library Blood Drive – March 10
The Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, March 10. The drive will take place at the Library Annex, 611 N. Chestnut Street, from 11:00-4:00. Watt Center Meeting – March 12
Members of the Watt Center of History and the Arts will gather at the center on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:00. All are welcome to attend.
Walleye Fish Fry – March 14
A Walleye Fish Fry to benefit the Raven Meadows School will take plac at the Pole Barn, 20302 New Gottengen Road, Salesville, Friday, March 14. Serving begins at 4:00. A benefit raffle is currently underway to benfit the school. Tickets are $20 or 6 for $100.
Facebook Paranormal Event Focuses on Enterprise Building – March 14
Local resident Guy McCort, author, creator and Host investigator at Valley Of Darkness.
Star of Feature film The Darkness On Church street, will host a Facebook Live event on Friday, March 14 at 9:00 pm.
“Tune in to this live event on Facebook for the first ever paranormal investigation in this local landmark where the Enterprise newspaper was ran for many years, before becoming defunct. The new owners are restoring the magnificent historical landmark that has had some unexplainable things happen.
At post time, 134 have expressed an interest in the event.
Barnesville Coin Club Meeting – March 16
Members and guests of the Barnesville Coin Club will meet in the community room at Barnesville Manor, 485 North Street, Sunday, March 16 at 1:30.
Belmont Soil and Water Conservation After Hours – March 17
The Local Soil and Water Conservation District will host after hours on Monday, March 17 until 7:00 for county landowners unable to get to the office during regular hours. The office opens at 8:00 that morning. Titled “Drought Assistance After Hours”, the district asks that farmers call first to let staff know you are coming.
