Kathleen Mari “Kathy” Doty Wagner

Kathleen Mari “Kathy” Doty Wagner, 70, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Forest Hill Nursing Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on January 31, 1956, a daughter of Floyd I. and Betty Sue McDermott Doty.

Kathy was a Registered Nurse who dedicated her career to caring for others, having worked in several local nursing homes throughout the years.

A devoted Cleveland Indians (Guardians) and Ohio State Buckeye fan, Kathy rarely missed a game. She was also an exceptional cook and enjoyed sewing and needlework. Above all, she cherished her family and had a caring heart, always finding joy in helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Francis Starr.

Kathy is survived by her son, Joe Wagner; her five siblings, Cindy (Merwyn) Bowdish, Patty Doty, Pam Susac, Floyd (Connie) Doty Jr., and Bill (Tracy) Doty; a special cousin, Debbie Comas Morgan, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kathy’s family will honor her memory with a private family Celebration of Life at a later date.
