The community has a chance to win designer purses at the GFWC Women’s Club of Barnesville’s purse bash this spring.
The purse bash is from noon to 3 p.m. April 12 at Elks Lodge, 117 North Chestnut Street with the first drawing at 1 p.m.

The Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking donations for its annual flag fund, a project that began in 1984 when Irene Cowgill and her husband, Bill, started raising money to purchase new flags for the village.
