ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Belmont County Agricultural Society, also known as the Belmont County Fairboard, recently purchased the James E. Carnes Center and has plans to remodel the building.
The featured band at the Pennyroyal Opera House on Dec. 5 will be the Kevin Prater Band from eastern Kentucky.

Barnesville native David Reynard released his new book that explores his medical journey while overcoming adversity.
Reynard, who lives in Middletown, released his book, Stronger Than Before: Surviving Medical Tragedy and Discovering Life’s Second Act, on July 18. This memoir follows Reynard’s survival and transformation during his medical crisis.
The Barnesville Chamber is selling raffle chances to win a customized cornhole board. The drawing will take place on Dec. 6.
