Belmont County will celebrate its long-standing and popular fair this upcoming week with livestock shows, truck and tractor pulls and a demolition derby.
Described as a “Family Tradition since 1849”, the fair board of directors have put on a week’s worth of festivities that bring in thousands of visitors.
This year’s fair will be Monday through Sept. 7 at the Belmont County Fairgrounds, 45420 Roscoe Rd., St. Clairsville. The fair schedule can be found on the Belmont County fair website along with other information.
Candidates have filed to be elected or re-elected for office in the upcoming election in November that will take place Nov. 4. Barnesville and Bethesda village councils will field contests, as will several township trustees, with more candidates filing than positions to fill.
