The Barnesville Green Bronco team is now 5-0 this season after recently defeating St. Clairsville Tuesday, May 19 by a score of 15-5.
The Barnesville Shamrocks’ 2026 varsity softball season officially ended Monday at home with an 8-4 sectional loss to the visiting Coshocton Redskins. Both teams entered the game at .500, Barnesville as the No. 8 seed, Coshocton, No. 10.
The 2025 Shamrock Relays were held at the track at Barnesville High School Saturday.
The annual Rails-to-Trails 5K Race was held Saturday and featured 155 contestants. There were four categories of participants, and that included those who ran, walked, a heavyweight group and people who brought their dog(s) to walk.
The final game of the regular season would determine if Head Coach Kelly Hanlon’s team finishes over the .500 mark. Thanks to some exquisite pitching from junior right-hander Ella Betts and a potent offense, the Barnesville Shamrocks (13-12 overall) were able to do just that.
