Barnesville Hosts 19th Annual Rails-to-Trails 5K Race
The annual Rails-to-Trails 5K Race was held Saturday and featured 155 contestants. There were four categories of participants, and that included those who ran, walked, a heavyweight group and people who brought their dog(s) to walk.
Softball: Shamrocks Best Bulldogs 9-2 in Final Regular Season Game
The final game of the regular season would determine if Head Coach Kelly Hanlon’s team finishes over the .500 mark. Thanks to some exquisite pitching from junior right-hander Ella Betts and a potent offense, the Barnesville Shamrocks (13-12 overall) were able to do just that.

After going 0-2 in their last two games, Coach D.J. Butler and his Barnesville Shamrocks (17-6 overall) needed to pick up a victory, especially with Monday, May 11 being Senior Night in a game against the Shenandoah Zeps (6-15 overall).
