Barnesville VFD Spaghetti Dinner – March 20

The annual spaghetti feed, a fundraiser for the Barnesville Fire Department and EMS, will take place on Thursday, March 20 from 4:00 – 7:00 at the fire station on E. Church Street. The $12 meal consists of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drink and dessert…eat in or take out.  

Barnesville Coin Club Meeting – March 16

Members and guests of the Barnesville Coin Club will meet in the community room at Barnesville Manor, 485 North Street, Sunday, March 16 at 1:30.  

Belmont Soil and Water Conservation After Hours – March 17

The Local Soil and Water Conservation District will host after hours on Monday, March 17 until 7:00 for county landowners unable to get to the office during regular hours. The office opens at 8:00 that morning.    Titled “Drought Assistance After Hours”, the district asks that farmers call first to let staff know you are coming.  Phone (740) 526-0027 to schedule an appointment.     

2025 Great Stone Viaduct Lecture Series – March 19

The lecture will take place at 6:00 at the Bellaire Public Library. Daniel Caron, award- winning photographer, will present “Backyard Flora and Fauna of Belmont County”. Please note, the program will not be livestreamed.

Woman’s History Month Program – March 22

The Underground Railroad Museum – Ohio Valley located in downtown Flushing will host a Women’s History Month program ‘Black Women in History’ at the museum on Saturday, March 22 at 1:00.

UGRRM Director, Kristina Estle will deliver a PowerPoint presentation covering historic Black women in American history. A Q&A will follow the presentation. The event is free to the public, but donations are always welcomed.

Attendees should arrive allow for time to tour the museum before or after the program. The museum consists of three floors and over 8,000 items.

The museum is now open for the season. Hours are 12:00-3:00 Thursday through Saturday. Contact the museum at (740) 963-3036 or online at ugrrm.org.
