The Sunday Stage Series Continues with The Shuman Band
On Sunday, July 19, The Shuman Band will take the Barnesville State Theater stage as a part of its The Sunday Stage series. This event is the second performance of the series.
Doors will open at 4 p.m, with the performance starting at 5 p.m. and running until 7 o’clock. Admission is $5. Bourbon chicken with white rice, green beans and a roll will be available as well as snack and drink items for purchase.

For fifty years, The Shuman Band has existed in some form. Sam Shuman, a Barnesville native and former social studies teacher at Barnesville High School, leads the band. Band members include Shuman’s sons Jesse, Nathan and Cole.
The Shuman Band performs original songs as well as self-styled covers of songs written by other artists, with roots in classic rock, folk, blues, and traditional American music.
