State Theater Company Meeting – February 18 CORRECTED
The volunteers of the Barnesville State Theater Company will gather at the Albert S. George Youth Center for a meeting on Tuesday, February 18 at 5:30. Individuals interested in helping move the theater project forward are invited to join members at the meeting.
Watt Center Meeting – February 12
The committee in charge of the Watt Center for History and the Arts will meet Wednesday, February 12 at 6:00 in the Watt building for their monthly meeting. Individuals interested in the work are also welcome to attend.
The first program of the year will take place Thursday, February 27 when New Castle resident Scott Hagan, aka “The Barn Artist” will share details of his work as a muralist. That program begins at 7:00.
2025 Great Stone Viaduct Lecture Series – February 12
The second Great Stone Viaduct Lecture will take place Wednesday, February 12 at 6:00 when Bellaire native and author Kurt Turner author of the book “I’ve Never Been to Heaven (But I’ve Been to Oklahoma).
Turner who now lives in Belmont will share his experiences outlined in the book of his time serving in the U.S. Navy during the the Vietnam War.

Canine/Feline CPR and First Aid Certification Class – February 15
The pet emergency education class offered by Canine Frenzy Versatility Training will take place at 55322 Washington Street, Somerton, on Saturday, February 15 from 9:30-2:30.
The cost for the program is $74.95 includes an e-book of the textbook, a two-year subscription to the online animal resource center, and an official certificate.

Cabbage Roll Dinner – February 16
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Barnesville American Legion Post #168 will offer at Cabbage Roll Dinner on Sunday, February 16 from 11:00 – 2:00. The meal consists of a cabbage roll, mashed potatoes, roll/butter and dessert. The cost is $12 per meal.
The meal is “take out only “and open to the public.
Barnesville Coin Club Meeting – February 16
The meeting will take place at 1:30 in the Community Room of Barnesville Manor, 485 North Street, doors open at 1:00. The meeting is free and open to the public with free parking in the visitor parking lot. Each meeting includes a raffle, door prize and refreshments. Meetings include buying, selling and trading coins, currency and bullion as well as timely discussion for the coin collecting community.
Belmont SWCD Hosting Networking Session – February 18
The Belmont Soil and Water Conservation District will host a networking session “What can Belmont County do for You?” directed towards landowners and community groups on Tuesday, February 18 at 6:00 at the agency’s offices 45422 Roscoe Road at the Belmont County Fairgrounds.
The event is aimed at connecting local organizations with the people who use their services. It provides an opportunity for landowners to engage directly with local organizations and share their insights as well as gain valuable resources.
