Monday, June 29, 2026

9:27 am – caller reports a reckless driver on Bond Avenue. Caller said the driver is all over the roadway and ran off the road and onto the sidewalk almost striking a telephone pole. Officer spotted the vehicle but didn’t observe any poor driving habits.

9:54 am – a vehicle in the WesBanco parking lot has tire issues. Towing company enroute.

11:27 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

12:33 pm – open call from 911 regards to hearing people and a TV in the background. Everything is fine as a child was playing with the phone.

6:48 pm – 911 hang up call from West Main Street. Officer reported no contact and no vehicles at the residence. There is also mail on the porch.

7:18 pm – traffic stop on Carrie Avenue. Warning issues for turn signal.

7:23 pm – officer stopped on Hunts Avenue about observing heavy smoke. Smoke was caused by a male working on a riding mower.

7:26 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

7:54 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

8:26 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

9:38 pm – traffic stop on East South Street.

9:45 pm – male on station reports he lives in Lafferty and a Barnesville resident hit his house with a truck. Officer advised this is an issue for the Belmont County Sheriff’s Department.

Tuesday, June 30, 2026

1:41 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

6:40 am – traffic stop on East Main Street near the library.

10:46 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

1:48 pm – disabled vehicle on South Chestnut Street. Vehicle ran out of gas.

1:49 pm – alarm drop on Railroad Street. Officer reported that the building was locked.

 4:42 pm – male left Barnesville Hospital.

7:30 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Warning issued for expired registration.

7:31 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street. Citation issued for expired registration.

8:02 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

8:25 pm – officer on foot patrol checking on businesses.

9:18 pm – officer assisting EMS squad on North Chestnut Street.

10:10 pm – 911 called regarding an open line on Ohio Street with persons heard yelling. Person at the residence advised they were wrestling and meant to hit the off button but hit the emergency button instead.

11:31 pm – traffic stop on State Route 800 North. Warning issued to marked lanes.

Wednesday, July 1, 2026

12:24 am – officer on North Broadway Street regarding smoke reported in the area. Officer said it was just a fire pit.

1:35 am – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road.

2:22 am – special detail on West Main Street.

3:23 am – officer on South Chestnut Street regarding a person in the alleyway near Convenient. Officer reminded the young person of the curfew.

4:16 am – traffic stop on State Route 800 North for a tractor trailer with “stuff” hanging off the trailer.

6:25 am – traffic stop on State Route 147 near Tacoma. Driver was the registered owner.

6:57 am – person that was pink slipped by the Barnesville Hospital walked out of the facility. Male was taken back to the hospital by an officer.

9:49 am – officer giving a male a ride to Prospect Street.

10:02 am – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street. Citation issued for expired registration.

10:46 am – traffic stop on Shamrock Drive. Citation issued.

10:56 am – officer on Shamrock Drive regarding a loose horse.

11:07 am – juvenile on station about exiting his mother’s car after arguing with the family. Mother is at home in St. Clairsville with no way to call her.

11:51 am – officer on State Route 800 North to check an unoccupied vehicle.

11:54 am – person on station reporting her daughter is being followed and tailgated by a person.

2:05 pm – traffic stop on Roosvelt Road. Warning issued for speed.

2:27 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

4:33 pm – male caller reports there is a red truck driving recklessly through town with adults in the truck bed. Truck was located at Barnesville Hospital. There was a medical emergency.

6:11 pm – 911 hang up call from Hunts Avenue. Officer spoke with a male and reported that it was an accidental call.

6:27 pm – report of broken glass in front of East Pike Street residence.

6:29 pm – female caller from Wiley Avenue reports there is a car in front of her home and that she has a restraining order against the man in the vehicle.

8:29 pm – caller reporting that he and another person had an altercation over a throwing of a sandwich. Person left the residence and pushed four wheelers onto the railroad tracks.

9:07 pm – traffic stop on Mulberry Street.

9:30 pm – Barnesville Hospital needs assistance with a patient that left the hospital. Patient was slipped and waiting for a bed at psychiatric facility. Officer returned the patient to the hospital.

10:07 pm – caller from North Street complaining of fireworks being set off.

Thursday, July 2, 2026

9:40 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued.

11:11 am – traffic stop on Railroad Street. Warning issued for speed.

1:25 pm – traffic stop on North Arch Street.

1:41 pm – caller reports two females signed themselves out of the treatment facility.

2:12 pm – traffic stop on East South Street. Warning issued.

4:44 pm – traffic stop on Railroad Street.

4:57 pm – female caller asked if her missing debit card was turned in.

5:03 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

6:30 pm – person on station to retrieve personal item from evidence.

8:50 pm – female caller from South Chestnut Street reports there are two males fist fighting in front of her neighbor’s home.

9:30 pm – person on station to make a complaint that he and his friend were fighting a couple of times this evening. He is concerned that he will come back to his residence and try to harm him.

11:03 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

Friday, July 3, 2026

8:37 am – caller stating that a vehicle is being driven by someone that has no driver license.

9:00 am – follow up investigation on North Chestnut Street.

9:00 am – caller wanting to talk to an officer regarding a car that was towed. Dispatcher advised that it is a civil matter because it is an issue with the payment to release the car.

1:47 pm – person on station regarding harassing texts.

5:00 pm – traffic stop on Cemetery Street.

5:29 pm – Harrison County Sheriff’s Department called regarding a hit/skip accident in Cadiz. They report the person involved in the accident is a Barnesville resident.

6:39 pm – female caller from East Main Street reporting a dog in a vehicle with the windows rolled up. She indicates the dog has been in the vehicle for a while. Officer contacted the owner and reports the dog is fine.

9:50 pm – male caller from North Street reporting someone setting off fireworks. He wants the police to make them stop. Dispatcher advised him that the ordinances indicate it is legal to set off fireworks on July 3rd, 4th, 5th and on the following weekend.

9:52 pm – male caller from previous call said thanks for nothing because the fireworks are still being set off.

9:55 pm – officer on East Church Street with a dirt E-Bike and rider.

10:08 pm – officer spoke to the juvenile’s mother about the regulations for E-Bikes.

10:18 pm – person called to inform the police a man will work on a compressor behind the building tonight.

10:25 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

10:37 pm – female caller reports needing assistance getting into her apartment. She locked herself out.

11:55 pm – traffic stop on Franklin Street. Female going to the hospital for a urine test.

Saturday, July 4, 2026

3:53 am – officer on patrol on West Main Street.

4;51 am – traffic stop on East Main Street.

8:45 am – caller from South Broaway Street reports someone hit her car overnight.

9:42 am – officer on Franklin Street following up on a hit/skip accident. The vehicle was possibly involved in the OVI last night.

11:08 am – officer flagged down on North Street. Female advised she just saw two pretty shady characters.

5:00 pm – female and male on station reporting money stolen today from a wallet at the park pool.

5:23 pm – female on station regarding the hit/skip accident last night. She has a piece of the car that was involved in the accident.

7:32 pm – fire department radioed, advised there is flooding on Leggett Avenue.

8:26 pm – caller reports the red light is currently on at the Locust Drive lift station.

9:41 pm – caller reports neighbors are setting off fireworks, and she believes they are aiming the fireworks at her house. She says debris is landing on her roof. Officer reports that no fireworks are being set off in the area.

9:52 pm – report of a tree down on Railroad Street blocking part of the bike path and part of the roadway. Street Department employee is enroute.

10:30 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

10:33 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue regarding someone setting of fireworks at the orchards. Dispatcher advised it is legal to set off fireworks today.

10:43 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

10:55 pm – traffic stop on Shamrock Drive.

11:07 pm – caller from Morgantown Avenue reports fireworks being set off in the street by the apartments. Dispatcher notified an officer since it is after 11p.m.

11:07 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street near Cheffy Drugs.

11:19 pm – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road.

11:42 pm – report made to an officer on East Main Street about individuals with Roman candles setting them off and pointed them towards a building. Officer talked to the General Manager of the business who said they are done setting of fireworks.

11:49 pm – call from Pine Lane about fireworks.

Sunday, July 5, 2026

12:05 am – female at Mackey Drive said she can’t get water to shut off. Dispatcher advised her to contact the property owner/manager.

 12:12 am – officer on Pine Lane speaking with parents regarding a fireworks complaint.

12:23 am – caller from Somerton Highway reporting that someone is pounding on their door. Officer reported that dogs were struck in the highway and the person knocking on the door was trying to find the owner of the dogs.

12:52 am – assisting the EMS squad on Morgantown Avenue.

3:28 am – traffic stop on State Route 800 North. Warning issued for marked lanes violation.

3:36 am – investigate complaint on Leatherwood Road regarding an open door on a vehicle. Officer reported that the door is secure now.

3:45 am – officer on North Lincoln Avenue checking out the source of fireworks. Officer had negative contact with anyone in the surrounding area.

11:41 am – vehicle lockout. Car is running with the AC on. A cat is inside the vehicle.

12:17 pm – possible domestic situation is reported on Washington Street.

4:34 pm – officer on Kennard Avenue with three juveniles.

7:32 pm – Barnesville Hospital reports a patient in the emergency room causing problems. The person is yelling, cursing at nurses and staff. Officer will contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department because the patient lives in Jerusalem.

8:43 pm – officer talked to kids on a E-Bike about going the wrong direction from Memorial Park on a one-way street. Officer informed them of the law.

8:56 pm – report of tenants yelling with things being thrown about. Officer reports it was from a video game.

9:17 pm – traffic stop on East South Street.

9:29 pm – caller from West Church Street regarding his neighbor assaulting him. Incident started over neighbor setting off fireworks that were hitting his house.

10:46 pm – caller called a couple of times stating the devil does drugs and is known as mayonnaise. He also stated that he makes music for society and puts it on his YouTube channel.
