Barnesville Kiwanis Seeks Ornament Walk Sponsors
The Barnesville Kiwanis Club is excited to organize the 3rd Annual Ornament Walk Certificate Fundraiser. This project supports the club’s Coats and Shoes for Kids initiative, which provides local students with much-needed warm clothing and a little extra joy just in time for the holidays.
The Kiwanis Club is inviting local merchants and organizations to participate by purchasing 144 ornaments. The Kiwanis Club sells 144 certificates for $10 each, raising $1,440 for the project.
Beginning with Christmas in the Ville on Saturday, Dec. 5, and continuing through the holiday season, certificate holders visit businesses and organizations to collect an ornament from each one.
The ornament walk draws potential customers to Barnesville businesses and introduces people to various organizations. It also shows the sponsors’ support for a great cause in our community.
This year, a People’s Choice Award has been added. Participants will vote on their favorite ornament with the winning business or organization receiving a cookie tray.
