Barnesville Recycling Bins Relocated

Barnesville’s two JB Green Team recycling collection locations will soon be merged into one location at the rear of the Watt Center for History and the Arts, 515 Watt Avenue.

For years, collection bins were located near the front of the Watt Center and in the rear parking lot of the current home of AMfg Labs and the Ferrum Fit Gym at 130 E. South Street.

When Styrofoam collection was added a couple of years ago, it was located at the E. South Street facility.

In making the announcement, The JB Green Team explained the move in a Facebook post.

“The Barnesville Harmony/5Bs location has moved. With the new paving, we did not wish to damage the lot with our trucks. The bins are now located behind the Watt Center. We want to thank the owners for allowing us to have this location for so long. Their help is greatly appreciated.”

The agency also thanked Mayor Jake Hershberger and the Warren Township Trustees for coming up with the new collection site to the rear of the metal village storage garage on the Watt property.

Once the area is set, the nearby Watt Center bins will be moved to the new location as well.

More information on the move and the county collection program is posted on the JB Green Team Facebook page.
