Seen and Heard – Week of June 3, 2024

Barnesville Memorial Park Pool is Open for the season. Hours of operation are: Monday-Thursday 12:00-5:00, Friday-Sunday 12:00-6:00. General admission rates are Adults $4.00, Students $3.00, Children under 5 are free.

Evenings are available for private pool parties and lessons. Private swim parties are $100 for the first hour and $20 each additional hour per guard. Private swim lessons are $20/half hour.

Monday June 3 will be the first adult lap/walk swim for adults only from 6:00-8:00 and is $2.00. This will also be the first moonlight swim night from 8:00-10:00 which is $1.00.

Passes are not accepted for lap swim and moonlight swims. If you have any questions, please call the pool at (740) 425-1172. (Facebook)

Pumpkin Festival Marks 60 Years with September celebration. “If you haven’t heard, we’ve got a celebration happening! This year marks 60 years of pumpkins, contests, and folksy fun. Join us as we take a walk down memory lane with old festival photos.

Darol Dickinson of Dickinson Cattle Company posted of a major longhorn auction sale that took place recently. “Saddle Jewel, widest horned black cow in history just sold for $120,000. She was bred and raised by Joel Dickinson and consigned by Cris Hesse. See her family at Dickinson Cattle Co, Barnesville, Ohio.”
