The Belmont Soil and Water Conservation District’s popular Half Acre Homesteading class returns on May 12. The class will take place at Crossroads Farm, 45021 Belmont-Centerville Road, Belmont for “an in-depth look at Sustainable Meats”.
Learning Beyond the Classroom: Rural Teacher Corps Plans Family Hike at Dysart Woods
Through hands-on experiences and community partnerships, students are gaining practical skills in education, leadership and engagement. Their latest effort brings that learning into the community with a Family Hike at Dysart Woods on Sunday, May 3 from 2 to 4 p.m., hosted by Ohio University Eastern’s Rural Teacher Corps in partnership with Captina Conservancy and Building Bridges to Careers.

42nd Annual Blood Bash: a BHS May Tradition
Barnesville High School’s 42nd annual Blood Bash is returning this year with a full day of donations and activities.
The Blood Bash will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 8 in the Barnesville High School gymnasium and wrestling room, 910 Shamrock Drive.

The Barnesville museum will open for the season the first weekend of May, offering regular hours, new exhibits and special events for the community.
