Shamrock Varsity’s cheerleading squads participated in the Southeastern Regionals for Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) at Ban Johnson Arena at Marietta College Sunday in both Traditional and Game Day divisions.
Barnesville’s Boys claim the OVAC 1-3A swimming crown at Brooke High School in completion at the two-day OVAC Bill Brubaker Swimming Championships while the Girls team came in at the runner-up position.

The Barnesville Area Classified Employees (BACE) have been working without a contract at Barnesville Exempted School District since June 30, 2025. After eight months of negotiations, BACE and the school district reached an agreement. BACE members voted 45-2 on January 7 to accept the tentative agreement.
