Belmont County school districts are adjusting schedules in response to winter weather while working to meet Ohio’s instructional hour requirements.
Weather continues to impact schools in eastern Ohio. By midafternoon Wednesday, several public school districts called classes on Thursday while some events through Saturday have also been canceled.
The snowstorm may have moved on, but the extreme cold remains. Many local schools continue to be closed or on remote learning days. The Ohio Valley Athletic Association announced through a press release in the valley’s daily newspapers Saturday that 1998 Barnesville High School graduate Ryan Grear would be inducted into the OVAC Hall of Fame later this summer.
