At Monday’s Village Council meeting, Kathleen Lucas, secretary of the Senior Citizen’s Center, showed up at the council meeting to discuss the double paying of insurance on the senior center building by the senior center and the Village Council.
Barnesville School Board Moves on Grant Application, Hears Administrative Reports
James Benner, Sr., transportation planner/GIS coordinator for the Bel-O-Mar Regional Planning Council, was present at the November board meeting to describe the Safe Routes to School Travel program and to answer any questions.

At Monday’s Barnesville Village Council meeting, members approved of wage increases across the board for all employees.
Mayor Jake Hershberger opened the meeting by praising the efforts of the Barnesville football team and noted with approval the high turnout for Halloween events.
Hershberger then voted in favor of engaging with the Ohio Rural Community Assistance program for a water system analysis, a project he advocated at a recent meeting.
Barnesville Police Chief Rocky Sirianni shared the July department activities with the village council on September 9.
At the last village council meeting, two bids were opened for oil and gas leases additional miscellaneous parcels not bid on in previous bids.
