Barnesville Shamrock Varsity Cheerleaders claimed the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) state contests in Division V for Non-Building and Non-Building Game Day competition Sunday at Big Walnut High School in Sunbury.
Several area school districts announced the cancelation of classes for Monday, Feb. 23 due to winter weather conditions.

Competing in Eastern District Division II bowling competition on Thursday at Legacy Lanes, Coshocton, the Shamrock Boys Bowling team came in first making history with the school’s first District Bowling Championship.
