Watt Center for History & the Arts Hosts Annual Student Art Show
The Watt Center for History & the Arts will again feature Barnesville Elementary students’ art work this spring.
The public art show for parents, grandparents, family, friends and citizens will take place from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Watt Center located at 511 Watt Ave in the historic former Watt Car and Wheel office.
The show features art projects completed during the school year by kindergarten through fourth grade students.

Before Sunday’s public show, students will have an opportunity to view their work on Thursday and Friday. The young artists, accompanied by their teachers and aides, will walk from the school on West Church Street past the fire station and historic depot to the former Watt Car and Wheel Co. office, according to Watt Center secretary Mary Sidwell.
Each year Watt Center volunteers organize the event in cooperation from Elementary Art Teacher Jayson Stephen and the teaching staff at Barnesville Elementary.
History displays will also available for visitors to tour. These feature Barnesville’s rich local industrial, retail and agricultural history. The Watt Center occupies the historic Watt Car and Wheel office building, a show piece in itself!
