Youth Mental Health Program at St. Clairsville
PRESS RELEASE
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – In conjunction with the Mental Health Awareness Month of May 2026, and in support of Ohio Valley youth, a “Night of Hope” is planned for 6 p.m., Thursday, May 7, at the St. Clairsville High School Gymnasium, 102 E. Woodrow Avenue.
“The community event is being organized and sponsored by a group of Ohio Valley churches under the group’s project name, “Hope for the Ohio Valley”, according to organizer Harry Danford.
Featured at the May 7 program will be:
- Dr. Scott Pauley, founder of “Enjoying the Journey”, an organization focused on fostering daily spiritual growth through inspirational insights. He is a prolific author and host of a widely followed daily podcast.
- Bob Homes has played 1-Man Volleyball in more than 6,000 gymnasiums in front of six million people with a record of 20,000 wins against 470 loses. His inspirational messages have been impacting the lives of America’s youth for more than 35 years.
The two men will deliver faith-based messages of encouragement, hope and healing to local communities. Holmes will also play 1-Man Volleyball against a team of St. Clairsville High School athletes.
Proceeds from donations taken at the door will be given to the St. Clairsville School District’s Student Mental Health Fund.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. with free food and refreshments available compliments of the following area businesses: DiCarlo’s Pizza, Pizza Shack, Holey Rollers Donut Truck and Fat Apple Bakery.
