Students at Barnesville Middle School raised over $48,000 Friday as part of the 17th Cutting Class for a Cure to benefit Belmont County cancer patients.
The annual FFA plant sale takes places this week at the high school greenhouse.
The Barnesville 42nd annual Blood Bash brought in more than 300 donors and 262 productive units of blood on May 8 in the high school gymnasium.
The annual Rails-to-Trails 5K Race was held Saturday and featured 155 contestants. There were four categories of participants, and that included those who ran, walked, a heavyweight group and people who brought their dog(s) to walk.
