Patriotic Mural Complete
Barn Artist Scott Hagan’s lates Barnesville Mural is complete in time for the nation’s 250th birthday celebration. The patriotic mural is located along the south side of the Barnesville VFW Post #2792 at 129 South Chestnut Street.
Union Local, Olney Awarded K-12 Civics Education Grants
The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), in partnership with the Longaberger Family Foundation, has awarded 17 grants, totaling $47,028, to support K-12 civics education programming throughout the region.

SR 148 Closed Near Armstrong Mills
Effective Friday, May 29, SR 148 was closed to traffic 1.5 miles west of Armstrong Mills at the bridge over the Captina Creek. The duration of the closure is unknown.
Disney Coming to Barnesville for “Fun in the Ville”
The Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s summer Fun in the Ville will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. June 4 in the West Main Street parking lot, next to the Blue Moon Biergarten.
Barnesville Middle School Honor Roll
The Barnesville Middle School Honor Roll for the fourth, and final, nine weeks grading period, is released.
